Banks – Climate
Climate Policy
Objective
Participation in Net Zero alliances
The ‘Net Zero Banking Alliance’ is a program launched in September 2020 as part of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP-FI). By joining the alliance, signatory banks commit to aligning their financing with net zero emissions targets by 2050.
Climate financing
Exposure by sector
Sector exposure is used to determine how many investments/financings are present in a financial institution’s inventory, based on the sector of activity of the issuer financed.
Green and sustainable credit
The development of so-called ‘green’ financial products has made it possible to devote a portion of financing to the transition to a low-carbon economy. Investors, professionals and private individuals can now take out green loans and credits to finance this type of project.
