Summit for a new global financing pact: Paris financial Center committed

On the occasion of the Summit for a New Global Financing Pact, the Paris financial center confirms its commitment to fighting global warming, preserving biodiversity and social wellbeing, and increasing the financing of growth and decarbonisation in emerging and developing countries.

Given the scale of the needs, public funding will not be enough and increased private funding is essential.

To encourage collaboration and accelerate the flow of private finance to developing and emerging countries, the Paris financial centre has decided to create a dedicated forum within the Institute for Sustainable Finance (IFD), bringing together all stakeholders.

This dedicated forum, which will act as a privileged interlocutor for the public authorities, will be fully in line with the Paris Dialogue on sustainable development
solutions proposed by the international institutions resident in Paris.
It will enable existing initiatives to be implemented more quickly and more
fluidly, and will strengthen blended-finance initiatives by initiating a collective debate on the most effective mechanisms to catalyse private-sector financing through official development assistance, thereby helping to redirect flows to developing countries to finance the ecological transition.
