The International Energy Agency’s annual publication for monitoring energy investment, “World Energy Investment”, provides a comprehensive picture of today’s capital flows and what they could mean for tomorrow’s energy sector. It evaluates whether the frameworks and strategies put in place by governments, the energy industry and financial institutions are generating timely investments, and how spending in different sectors and technologies is aligned with global needs for energy security and sustainability.
