Pierre Ducret takes the interim presidency of Finance for Tomorrow

As announced to the members of Finance for Tomorrow last January and after two years of presidency, Philippe Zaouati decided to step down from his chair as Finance for Tomorrow president to dedicate more time to his other activities. In agreement with the team and the board of Finance for Tomorrow, Philippe remained president of the initiative until May 2019.
Pierre Ducret, member of the Board of Finance for Tomorrow since the creation of the initiative, special advisor for climate change at Caisse des Dépôts Group and Chair of I4CE-Institute for Climate Economics, will assume the interim Presidency until the election of a new chairperson.
To give more time to prepare the next phase of the Finance for Tomorrow initiative, the election of the next president will take place this fall. The next Climate Finance Day, taking place on November 29, will be the occasion to officially introduce the new elected president.
Finance for Tomorrow remains committed to make green and sustainable finance a key driving force in the development of the Paris financial center, as evidenced by the recent publication of an op-ed in Le Monde to mobilize the financial sector to preserve biodiversity, or the upcoming launch of the second edition of the Fintech for Tomorrow Challenge, and other projects to come until the end of the year.
Philippe is the founder of our initiative, which would not have been created without him. We thank him collectively for his invaluable contribution to the development of the Paris Financial Center as a green and sustainable leading hub. As the CEO of Mirova, he will continue to play a significant role in our ecosystem and  to inspire us with the energy and creativity that characterize him. ” declared Pierre Ducret
Philippe Zaouati added: “Paris needs a strong initiative in favor of sustainable development and ecological transition. I remain convinced of the importance of an organization like Finance for Tomorrow. While I no longer chair Finance for Tomorrow, I will continue to contribute to this dynamic through Mirova, which remains a member of the initiative, and I wish all the best to the future presidency “
